mdonahue Posted April 28, 2005 Report Share Posted April 28, 2005 Can anybody tell me how to setup so my tapes dont append? I am running full backups on a daily basis and wish to reuse my tapes. The daily tapes fill up after 4 - 5 uses. I would like to be able to stop the backups from appending and even do an erase each day prior to backup operations. AmyJ Posted April 28, 2005 Report Share Posted April 28, 2005 Go to Automate > Scripts Edit the script(s) schedules so that they are doing "Recycle" rather then "Normal" backups If you are using Retrospect 6.5 you should also go to Configure>Preferences>Media>Erasure and enable "Automatically reuse named media" (this should be enabled by default in Retrospect 7.0).
