russellg Posted April 17, 2005 Report Share Posted April 17, 2005 I get this error every time I do a backup: Can't back up IIS Metabase, error -1017 (insufficient permissions) The same message appears in the Windows XP Event Log as well. I'm logged in to XP Pro as an administrator, if that makes a difference. I'm using version 7.0.3.101 trial. Any suggestions? russellg Posted April 17, 2005 Author Report Share Posted April 17, 2005 Ah, I think I just found the answer to my own question: http://list.dantz.com/pipermail/retro-talk/2003-December/005552.html It appears to happen if you have IIS installed (which I do) but it's disabled (which it is).
