IanWorthington
Retrospect currently backs up NTFS sparse files as normal files, relying on compression to reduce the size to a manageable level. On restore however their sparseness is (apparently) not recreated. This can result in a volume being unrestorable, due to too many (previously) sparse files overcomitting the volume. In certain applications with highly sparse files a single file may not be restorable.
