designberg Posted March 22, 2005 Report Share Posted March 22, 2005 Hi All, I'm on Mac OS 10.3.8, Desktop 6.0, trying to back up to an internal LaCie DVD burner (NEC actually). I configured it with a DVD+RW I had lying around and it worked fine. Now I'm trying to back up to a DVD-RW and it says it's incompatible. Is it really that fussy about DVD format types? CallMeDave Posted March 23, 2005 Report Share Posted March 23, 2005 If you ran a custom configuration, you need to configure it for all media types you intend to use _during the same configuration session._ You need to blow out the old configuration and go through the process again, this time using all the media (CD-R, DVDx, etc) one at a time.
