raufdean
Hi there, I'm using Retrospect 6.5.350. I've just bought a 200Gb disk to supplement my tape backups, and have created a disk backup set that I back up to every day. The sessions on the disk soon build up, so I would like to start deleting the earlier sessions occasionally in order to preserve disk space. Is there an easy way to do this ? Thanks for your help, Rauf Dean

raufdean
Ooof. That's a bit grim. I heard that version 7 has better Disk backup handling features. Is there any way to do this in the new version ? Thanks, Rauf
awnews
R7 added a feature called "grooming" to disk backups (have to gen a new Disk Backup set and won't work with File Backup sets) that allows the program to automatically delete "old" (an auto algorithm or as you specify). I'm especially glad to see and use it in the case of Proactive backups. Download the User's Guide and read up on it to see if it will work for you.
