atapi.sys": can't read, error -1020 (sharing violation)

Hi guys

 

 

 

After I lost my complete system, not for the first time lol, I decided to use retrospect as it came with a maxtor drive I bought.

 

 

 

The backup works fine but whenever I try to create a disaster recovery disc, All I get is this error:-

 

 

 

 

 

File "G:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\atapi.sys": can't read, error -1020 (sharing violation)

I have unloaded all virtual drives, both in Nero and Alcohol 120% but with no result. I have checked as far as I can / know, to see what would be using the atapi.sys program but found nothing.

 

 

 

Is there anyone else who has come across this problem or could just offer advice.
