normank Posted May 3, 2002 Report Share Posted May 3, 2002 I just installed Express 5.6 on a Sony VAIO PIII notebook w/128K RAM running 98SE. The program starts fine but HANGS when it goes to scan for devices (stops at, I believe, ID0). Only a three-finger salute and shut down of the entire machine will restore normal VAIO operation. I have no floppy installed (although I tried it with the USB floppy attached and same problem). There is one hard disk and a Yamaha CD-RW hooked up to the Firewire port. I thought I saw something about this on your site but I scanned the Common Questions and Knowledgebase and couldn't find anything (at least for a Win machine).
