Couple of questions regarding R5 and backing up to HD

I'm backing up to HD using R5 (OSX)

 

I didn't set this up, but its what I have.

 

A HD per week and scripts to back up to the HD, ok.

 

But at the end of the 4 week run, I must return

to the Week1 HD.

 

BUT! this drive is now full of data, but if

I wipe it, I wipe the catalogue file too?

 

So, do I have to create a new catalogue manually

every time OR is there another way within

retrospect?

 

Also, I've never been able to get the email apple script to work.... any tips!
