Lizmcn
in the last week or so two or three files on our nightly backup keep failing verification with the error “reached end of file”. If I restore one of the files then they open ok. I am using retrospect 5.6 on a win2003 server What could be causing this error and does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks For your help Liz
milesc
A shot in the dark here... If the files are bigger than 4GB and you are backing them up to another hard drive as opposed to a tape drive the destination hard drive has to be formatted as NTFS not FAT32. We had this issue with an 80GB USB hard drive that came from the factory preformatted FAT32.
