eric0570
Hey, I need to mirror/duplicate a folder on one OS X server to another. From what I've gathered from the Retrospect 5 manual simply mounting the other OS X server via AppleShare IP and duplicating will not preserve permissions. Backing up via server/client won't work because I need it in raw files/folders, not a Retrospect file. FTP won't work because I need to mirror mac files with resource forks. Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks, Andy
Guest
The client appoach allows you to do a Duplicate and keep the data in finder format. That's the way you'll need to do it; that will preserve all permissions and keep the data in Finder format. Just select the first server's folder as a source and the other server's folder as your destination.
