guyvdb
I want to backup an entire volume, except for one folder and its contents. How can I do this ? I don't find any options for excluding folders.. Nor do I find the ability to create a source set from a folder.
hmseiden
It's called rules in V8 and you can edit Rules from the Console (on any machine with Console installed) to exclude a folder, file, or groups. Quite versatile. See the manual on the Windows version 7.5 for more info since the version 8 Manual DOESN'T EXIST (YET?). Or you can see my post in the thread where the poster refers to them as 'filters'. Same thing. Link to this thread ...
DrBoar
If you own the folder you can add a bullet to its name and that will exlude it from backup. This will not work for folders owned by system and applications as they most of the time does not take kindly to renaming folders
