Polson
I'm trying to rebuild from V6. DVDs. When I go to Select a folder for the new catalog I get "An error occurred". The DVD drives sees the media and can read it...what gives?
Lennart_T
When I go to Select a folder for the new catalog I get "An error occurred". Where is the folder? On a locel drive that is formatted "Mac OS Extended"?

Lennart_T
Odd. OK, if you select another folder on the same drive, what happens? Come to think of it: Do you get "An error occured" before you can even navigate to a folder or after you have selected it?
Polson
It seems to happen instantly when I choose any folder on the 'Select a folder" dialog....
Polson
...also Now the drive doesn't see the media in retrospect...it's the drive that this set was created on....so I can select the drive but there is no status....
Lennart_T
Try a safe boot, then boot normally before trying again. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564?viewlocale=en_US http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455
Polson
OK- I did that. Same results. Forgetting the error issue - should I be able to see the media in the storage devices window before anything else is tried?
ColinForeman
I also have this problem - I have downloaded a trial version of Retrospect 10 and trying to rebuild a tape last used in Retrospect 6 - whenever I select a folder (any folder that is) to save the 'new catalog' I get the error We have been contacting Retrospect Support for the past week without any success to resolve this
