Sacohen
I was running Retrospect 7.5 on a MAC OSX 10.5.6 and I got the following error message "Scanning incomplete" Error -1101 (unknown) I know this is the topic for Reptrospcet 8, but there is not topic for 7 so I put the question here. I'm backing up to 1.5 TB LTO backup tapes in a Quantum Super Loader III. What is this error and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance.
Lennart_T
There was never a version 7 for Mac. Check the log directly after launch, you will see version number there. Try a safe boot, then boot normally before trying again. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564?viewlocale=en_US http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455

twickland
I got the following error message "Scanning incomplete" Error -1101 (unknown) What kind of source were you scanning at the time? Local HD volume, client volume, network share?
Sacohen
What kind of source were you scanning at the time? Local HD volume, client volume, network share? My source is a partition on a Video SAN. It is connected to the MAC via Fiber optic. Basically it is seen by the computer as a Local HD Volume. I am backing up another partition from the same SAN now with no problems.
