Retrospect Client Hanging Windows NT

Hello everyone,

This is my first time here, so please be gentle tongue.gif

I am having problems with Retrospect Bakcup and Windows NT workstation, I succesfully run the setup and everything OK, the Retrospect service installs and again, everything OK!

Then ... when I restart the machine, BAM!!!! frown.gif

BOSD!! STOP 0x1E unhandled kernel exception!!

I'm guessing the problem is a conflict with the Panda Antivirus because I installed the client on a clean WinNT and it works OK...

If I start with "last known good" configuration and uninstall Restrospect, everything runs OK...

Uninstalling the Panda is not an option and I surely want to use Retrospect... (I'm trying to convince the boss to buy it)

What do I do?? Anyone had this error and solved it??

Hi Nate,

Thanks for your fast help

When I install the Retrospect Client, I don't have a "custom" install... That option only shows when I am installing the Retrospect Server.

Is there a command line switch to do custom setup of the Retrospect Client?

Hello Nate,

I read a previows post by you that says to delete the Roff.sys file... I did it and now the error is not showing anymore.

Anyway, I would like to know is there is a way to do this (disable the open file manager) at install time...
