klubar
I'm using selectors to exclude temporary and cached files, but I'm concerned that I'm not backing up something important. During the disk scan the amount to back up goes to (approximately) 10GB, then only 6GB get backed up. What is counted during the scan (does it include the VM file)? When I did I back up of just the temporary and cached files the size was less than 100MB. Is there anyway to get a directory or listing of what isn't being backed up? Alternatively, is there a way of reversing the logic and backup up only what's excluded? Thanks Ken LUbar klubar(at)emiboston.com
natew
Hi In the cofigure->selectors window there is a blue checkmark. That will check the selector against any volume you choose and show you what has been selected. Thanks Nate
klubar
That's helpful, but is there anyway of seeing what's NOT been selected. I want to make sure that I'm not missing anything important as the number of GB being backed up drops dramatically from the "scan" to actual backup. AmyJ
The only way to see what has not been selected is to follow Nate's instructions and look for files/folders that _do not_ have a check mark next to them (meaning they are not selected by the selector criteria).
