backupper Posted July 10, 2004 Report Share Posted July 10, 2004 I am using Retrospect 5.1.177 downloaded trial application to back up approximately 12 G of data to a new LACIE 160 G firewire drive. My computer is a G4 Sawtooth Macintosh running system 9.2.2 After backing up several partitions, Retrospect stops with an incomplete execution message. The log reads normally till the problem occurs and then it reads: - 7/10/2004 5:11:44 AM: Copying System Running… Can't add that much data to backup set. The limit is 2.0 G. 7/10/2004 5:11:46 AM: Execution incomplete. Remaining: 12105 files, 894.7 MB Completed: 0 files, zero KB Performance: 0.0 MB/minute Duration: 00:00:02 (00:00:01 idle/loading/preparing) Is it true that you can not backup more than 2.0G in a backup set on a firewire drive?
