techie
We have multi-server and openfile. I have been backing up fine one Win2k server Dell Poweredge and DLT tape drive. Recycling backup everynight. Taking about 11 hours for about 55 gigs, ( ~200MB/min for local and 3 drives remote@ ~100MB- not backing up cache) daily backups, no errors and no problems. Backups are verified. (LVD160 73gb raid1 on a Dell PERC 3/Di and Dell PowerVault 110T DLT1 tape drive on a adaptec 29160) Now all of the sudden my backup is alotting 4 days for the back up for very close to the same files, very few files change. Nothing has changed on the server neither software wise or hardware wise. I have installed Win critical updates, but not during the period this started. I have erased and redone the scripts and the backup set (sitting on the last fully completed one). Still performing at an average of 16MB/min. Currently running rev319 and I realize that rev350 is the latest however, as i mentioned, it was working and nothing changed other then Critical updates, patching it, shouldn't fix a problem it never had before. This is prompting me to uninstall and reinstall the software, Retrospect was originally downloaded and it can no longer be found. Where can i obtain the download again or obtain media? So if someone else has any ideas other then reinstalling, Im all eyes. -Tony
