peterpflanz Posted April 13, 2004 Report Share Posted April 13, 2004 I have a copy of Restrospect Server 5.0.238 running on my G4 Mac OS X 10.2.3 and I have been successfully backing up our OS X server running 10.2.6 and Retrospect Client 5.0.540 to tape for a year. Everything has been working great. Since about 3 weeks ago I have been getting 505 error client is reserved messages. The backup has not been working properly. The script is backing up files from a different server with no problem. I have restarted both machines. I have even killed the restrospect process on the client side with script I found on the net. peterpflanz Posted April 14, 2004 Author Report Share Posted April 14, 2004 I uninstalled the client software and installed it again. Setup a new password an now I can connect to the client machine again. I now have to check and verify that all my backup scripts are working again, since I had to forget and then add back the client.
