mbizer
In R5 and R6, Retrospect will display a "Closing..." message at some arbitrary point before all of the files are backed up (it is near the end, but what is arbitrary is the amount of bytes left to be backed up). Then there is a considerable delay depending on the type of backup -- it could be several minutes if the backup type is "duplicate" and one has just duplicated one's hard disk. One is really happening during this message?
Mayoff
We are copying OS X permissions. The next free update to Retrospect 6.0 (not the RDU) will have a change to greatly increase the speed of "closing".
mbizer
Thanks. Why not post a more informative message? When is the update due?
ProfN
Great news that this will be fixed in next version. Duplicates zoom up to this point in 6.0 and I shall eagerly await 6.0.1!
