Need help performing a backup. Having difficulty.

Recommended Posts

I have version 6.0.222 OEM version express. I just purchased a Maxton 250 and your software come with it. My laptop is a CTO Pavilion zd7000 series notebook

- Pentium® 4 3.06 GHZ w/HT

- Microsoft®Windows® XP Pro

- 1.0GB DDR SDRAM(2X512MB)

- 80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive

- 4x DVD+RW/R and CD-RW Combo Drive

- 54g Wireless LAN

- 17" WVA WXGA+ (1440x900)

- 128MB NVIDIA® GeForce FX Go5600

The software says I have no backup medium and clearly I have a dvd/cd.

2 questions........

How do I get your software to recognize my cd which works perfectly and should I download any updates to the software? Please provide a link as to what version I should update to. I have just registered this one tonight. My main purpose for buying this hard drive was for BACKUP and I cannot seem to get it to happen.

Thank you so much in advance for your assistance.

Hi Ray -

Your CD/DVD combo drive may not be supported by Retrospect at this time, or it may be supported by a later version. Can you provide the make/model? You can look in Retrospect under Configure > Devices > Environment (Vender / Product) or you can look in the Windows device manager for this information.
