sam.ward
I have about 7GB of data to back up and I would like to know if I could fit it all one one DVD-RAM if I bought a 9.4GB drive and media. I can't find any confirmation anywhere on dantz.com or the web. Anyone know for certain? Thanks in advance Sam Why would one ever need a dancing potato on one's message? csewell
9.4 GB DVD-RAM media is the same as 4.7 GB DVD-RAM media, only they are double sided and you have to flip them over manually. According to the Storage Device Compatibility lookup, Retrospect is compatible with all DVD-RAM drives, both ATAPI and SCSI. They are treated as removable discs. sam.ward
Thanks for that - I can't believe that no manufacturer has created a DVD writer that can write to both sides. Madness. I'll have to have a re-think. Sam
