Rwel
My operating system is Windows 98. I recently purchased Retrospect Express to conveniently "Backup" to a USB connected external hard drive. I have about 8 gigs on my fixed hard drive and it appears that I can't do a complete backup because of file size limitations. If I simply duplicate the hard drive, I can't backup the registry. Is there a work around that will allow me to completely "backup" my fixed hard drive and subsequent modified backups to my external hard drive such that I can completely restore my system (including registry) in the event of a diaster? lv2ski
2 options. 1. Upgrade to Desktop as then you can duplicate the registry. 2. Duplicate your drive like you have been doing. Then do a backup of just the registry. That way you can restore your registry later if you have to.

lv2ski
You need to turn off Windows ME System restore during duplicate. That is probably what gave you the error.
