BillWoodard
Using Retrospect 6.5 under Windows 98, I've used Archive (all default settings) to create CDs on a Lite-ON LTR-52327S drive using Maxell CD-R 48X 700MB blanks. Retrospect completes the jog with no hint of any problem and will perform a Verify without errors. But when Retrospect closed, CD removed and re-inserted, either "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer", when attempting to read the CD, give "E:\ is not accessible. The device is not ready." Other CD I've created (e.g., using Nero Express") read fine. Nero's Disk Info reports the Archive disk as "Session is Open." Help please!!
jhal
'Archive' functions similar to 'Backup'. In both, Retrospect writes to cd/dvd and that cd/dvd is only accessible from within the retrospect program. Any cd/dvd written by Retrospect will not be readable using windows explorer. This is a normal aspect of many backup programs.
