Which USB/Firewire Bridge suggested?

Recommended Posts

Whoops! - sorry about that

I got my model numbers crossed up. I was thinking the 510U was the ATAPI version of this drive (510A).

Personally I prefer firewire devices. Apparently Firewire was designed for sustained data throughput where USB2 boasts high burst rate speeds. In the end I think you will be happy with either one.

Hi

Oxford 911 is pretty much the standard. Keep in mind that putting a drive in a 3rd party enclosure can cause compatibilty problems in Retrospect.

Huh?

All Retrospect, or ANY software, needs to know that it is accessing a drive thru a SCSI, ATA, Firewire or USB interface. It matters not whether a drive is internal or external.
