vsl
Hello, I am using version 5.6.136 (Desktop). When I try to backup to a firewire Peerless (iomega) at some point the peerless volume just disappears: is this a known problem of retrospect (no other application I use has such a problem with the peerless) ? Thanks for your help
natew
Hi What OS are you using? Do you Have Iomega tools installed or just the bare bones drivers? (Iomega tools may be getting in the way) Nate
vsl
Thanks for your answer. It's running on XP Home. Concerning the peerless I have Iomegaware 4.0.2 installed (including active disk). As you say I suspect the iomega tools to be getting in the way but I don't know how to install less than iomegaware... Vicente
natew
Hi I would guess that Windows XP has a built in driver for the Peerless. Try uninstalling Iomegaware and just plugging the drive in. Nate
vsl
Hi, I tried your suggestion. I uninstalled iomega software. The peerless appeared as an SBP-2 (Firewire) removable disk. I tried a backup with Retrospect but the same problem came up. And iomega support say they can only guarantee the peerless to work with iomega software... Well thanks for your help anyways, Vicente
natew
Hi You might want to try the trial version of Retrospect 6.5 too. It may have been resolved there. Nate
