Retrospect will not shutdown backup machine on login panel.

Recommended Posts

I use Retrospect 5.1 on Mac OS X (10.2.6). When I leave the office each day, I simply logout and walk away. The OS X login panel appears and waits for Retrospect's script to automatically launch. Retrospect auto-activates and does my backup. No problems so far.

When Retrospect quits however, it is supposed to shutdown the machine (based on my preference setting). The problem is it doesn't. Retrospect does rewind/eject my tape and quits as expected, but it does not actually shutdown the Mac.

Seems like this is a bug that occurs when you are NOT logged in. I've gotten the shutdown feature to work if I was logged in. Please fix this Dantz.

STILL an issue with 6.0. I buy the upgrade and even an Annual Service Contract and for what? This and the scrollwheel should be fixed, toerhwise, we should just save our money. These aren't some wierd technical issue with SCSI, it's interface stuff and shutown.

Disappointing.
