JohnNorris
I installed Retro 5 Workgroup about 10 days ago (on an iMac, OS X 10.1.3), then installed the client on a single machine, a G3 blue&white running OS X 10.1.2 and the Communigate Pro email server. Right now the Retro server's only job is to back up the user accounts (mailboxes) on that Communigate server every night at 11. For the first 5 days, it worked perfectly. Since then, every morning I find a message from Retrospect telling me the backup failed because the client wasn't visible on the network. But I can run the backup script manually with no problem, and the client always is visible on the network through the Configure option. No software has changed on either machine during these 10 days. We're not experiencing network problems, day or night, and I can't see any reasonable explanation for these failures. Can anyone suggest why Workgroup Server fails to see client during automated backup, but finds it effortlessly during manual backup? SteveW928
I'm seeing the same thing... also see the thread "How do I stop my OSX client from turning off" of something like that... looks like we're not alone.. -Steve swilkinson@macys.com
