not enough disk space

I got the following error message while attempting to copy from one hard drive to another. (I want to back up all the files on my hard drive). How do I find extra disk space (or reduce the need for extra disk space) without resorting to individually copying the files to the other hard drive (or deleting them)?

Hi

4.2G is a lot of space. You can try using a selector (like a filter) in Retrospect but the selectors in Retrospect express are very limited. If this is going to be an ongoing thing you might want to consider an upgrade to Retrospect 6.5. It will allow you to create custom selectors so you don't have to pick and choose files every time
