Getting error -100 (device rejected command) using Pioneer DVR-105

Recommended Posts

I just found this forum and am re-posting this from the Windows-Professional forum (it didn't receive any response there):

I've been trying to get Retrospect to work with my Pioneer DVR-105. I orginally bought Retrospect Professional 6.0 to use with this device, but I could only get it working with CD-RW media, not DVD-RW media. After struggling with this off and on for a few months, I saw that 6.5 was available and that with the latest driver updates it supported the DVR-105.

So I ordered the upgrade, installed it and installed the latest driver updates. And now when I try to backup to the device I get the error "Device trouble: "1-Backup Set A", error -100 (device rejected command)".

I've tried this several times, with several different pieces of DVD-RW media but always get the same results. Also note that I have had no trouble using this device and media with other programs.

Here's the log from my most recent attempt. Help!

Any help would be appreciated. I bought Retrospect based on my previous experiences using it on a Macintosh. I'd really like to be able to use it on my PC.
