alanrh
Yesterday, I was working with my storage sets when someone came in and asked me a tech question. So, not really paying attention to what I was doing, I accidently erased a tape. Now, I'm sure I used the "short" erase which should only remove or change the header information. What I'm wondering is, is there any way to get back to the data which is still on the tape?
AmyJ
I would recommend a data recovery shop, such as Computer Conversions (http://www.data911.net). They have experience with Retrospect. Data recovery can be very pricey (100's to 1000's of dollars). It comes down to deciding the value of the data.
