When I exit Retrospect, it hangs. It hangs to the point that it can not be killed. I think that exiting successfully is a key part of automated back-ups running successfully. Because, when it does crash in this way, the scripts don't run that night. I have tried running the patch from the downloads section. I have tried reinstalling, then patching. It hangs in all cases. Is there any obvious reason this may be happening?

Hi

 

I will take a wild guess and say you have windows XP and you are backing up to an external hard drive?

 

If so turn off system restore for the external drive and you will be all set. If not please give us some details to work with
