Retrospect 6.5 Does Not Recognize Iomega 80GB USB 2.0 HDD

Although recognized in Windows Explorer and listed under Device Manager, R6.5 will not recognize my new Iomega 80GB USB 2.0 External Hard Disk Drive, installed specifically for backup purposes. I've gone through all the suggested processes, but no matter how I try to get it to recognize the hard drive, it just will not! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
