More miscompare errors...

Backup machine: Mac Dual 533 G4/512 MB RAM/OS X 10.2.6

 

Running Retrospect Backup 5.0.238, 15 clients, some OSX, some OS9

 

To LaCie Sony SDT-7000, version N300, driver Sony DAT (5.02) SCSI-A:6

 

I get LOTS of this on every client:

 

Decompression failed due to corrupt input data

Decompression failed due to corrupt input data

Decompression failed due to corrupt input data

Decompression failed due to corrupt input data

Decompression failed due to corrupt input data

File “Equation Editor Fonts”: miscompare at resource offset 0, path: “BABY/System Folder/Fonts/Equation Editor Fonts”.

File “Finale Screen Fonts”: miscompare at resource offset 0, path: “BABY/System Folder/Fonts/Finale Screen Fonts”.

File “Gadget”: miscompare at resource offset 0, path: “BABY/System Folder/Fonts/Gadget”.

File “Geneva”: miscompare at resource offset 0, path: “BABY/System Folder/Fonts/Geneva”.

 

 

HELP!

Hi,

 

Sounds like a device communication issue to me. What SCSI card are you using? Are you using software or hardware compression? Does this happen with all your tapes/sets? Can you reproduce it when you use a file backup set rather than the tape drive?
