sbken
I've just switched to a new PowerMac G4, transferred all of my files and installed the new Retrospect 5.1. I backup to a WiebeTech FireWire external HD. Ever since the transfer and the install of 5.1 I've been receiving Log reports such as the following: - 8/2/2003 10:00:24 PM: Copying Macintosh HD… 8/2/2003 10:15:38 PM: Comparing Macintosh HD… Folder “iDVD ?????????? ????? ?????????.rtfd” not found in parent folder “«—±€ - ¡flø‰ ¡§??”. Folder “?iDVD? ÇÃÉCÉìÉXÉgÅ[ÉãÇÃëOÇ….rtfd” not found in parent folder “ì?ñ{åÍ - èdóvÇ»èÓïÒ”. Folder “?à¿Â‰ iDVD? ëOêøêÊâ{ʧ.rtfd” not found in parent folder “î…ÈìíÜï? - èdóvéëêu”. Folder “'Lees voordat u 'iDVD?' installeert.rtfd” not found in parent folder “Nederlands - Belangrijke Informatie”. Folder “?à¿ëï iDVD? îVëOêøêÊâ{?.rtfdd” not found in parent folder “ºÚÃÂ÷–Œƒ - ÷ÿ“™–?œ¢”. File “Operations Log”: different data size (set: 7911, vol: 8487), path: “Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/Retrospect/Operations Log”. 8/2/2003 10:28:40 PM: 6 execution errors. Completed: 78300 files, 3.8 GB, with 13% compression Performance: 300.0 MB/minute (306.0 copy, 294.3 compare) Duration: 00:28:16 (00:02:42 idle/loading/preparing) I'm using 10.2.6 and all appears to be running correctly. I've repaired Permissions and run "fsck". This may not be a serious issue but it sure isn't right. Anyone have any idea of what is going on? natew
Hi, Nothing to worry about -just some unicode characters that are not backward compatible with C. You may just want to rename those localized folders in the iDVD folder. Nate
