perryphillips
I have a Linux machine behind a firewall and want to backup through the firewall. Has anyone had any experience with this. I plan to map the Retrospect port to the appropriate machine in the firewall. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't forsee any problems with this, as long as you map port 497, both udp and tcp, from the firewall to the same ports on the internal machine. Be aware of course, that you will only be able to backup one machine behind the firewall like this.
