skimark
I have a question regarding the new 5.1 version: I have 2 internal drives, one with 9.2.2 on it and the other with 10.2.6. Can I boot from the drive with 9.2.2 to be able to do a full restore of the 10.2.6 drive? I tried to boot from the emergency CD, and for some reason I can't get it to boot off of it. This is being used on a Beige G3 which runs 10.2.6 with no problem. Any help will be appreciated. It seems that the easiest way to restore would be from the 9.2.2 drive, but if I remember correctly, in 5.0 you had to restore an X drive while running X software. Is that still the case? Thanks, Mark

Try booting off your OS X or OS 9 installer CD to verify that the computer can boot from any CD in its present state. Are you holding down the C key on boot? skimark
I can boot from the installer cd and also from Norton Systemworks for X with no problems. But for some reason, the Retrospect cd only gives me a gray screen with nothing happening. I tried holding down the 'C' key and also selecting the cd from startup disk with no success either. AmyJ
Just to confirm, you're attempting to boot off the Retrospect 5.1 CD or is this a CD you built yourself? I'm not sure that we tested the DR CD on beige G3's.
