jessexc
I have a couple problems using Retrospect 6.0 with my Plextor drive. I plan to do 5 different discs for 5 days and cycling them weekly and every month making a CD-R backup. The main problem I am having right now is that once written the CD-RW loves to stall my machine, particularly when retrospect tries to access it, which occurs when loading retrospect, and when trying to backup. When trying to backup it hangs on trying to erase it. This is really irritating and I was wondering if anyone had a solution to this. Additionally I find that once I write onto the CD-RW I cannot access the information unless I use my image file. So I am wondering the image file is located on the hard drive is it not? If my hard drives are stolen or ruined how can I re-access my stored information? Perhaps I am confused as to what’s going on here. I plan on buying the product if I can get it to work properly (using the 30 day trial right now). But so far its been nothing but frustrations. If anyone is wondering I'm using the Plextor premium 52x32x52 and Verbatim datalife plus CDR and CDRW. Thank you for any and all help
