Mtt
Booting DR CD made with Retrospect 6.0 or 6.5 gives the following hang when loading: "Controlleur de disque dur IDE/ESDI standard" in english this is: "Standard IDE/ESDI hard disk controller". I saw article ID 27737 which says to uninstall "Intel Application Accelerator" before creating DR CD. I did that, re-create a DR CD but fail at the same place during DR CD boot. Machine is a notebook Toshiba S5100-201-512MB with Windows XP sp1 and all MS updates, french edition. IAA is installed and has been removed for creating the DR CD. Backup device is a Maxtor 5000 connected on FireWire. I tried to locate this driver and to remove it on the DR CD with an ISO editor (DirectISO) but i cannot find this driver's name (IDE/ESDI hard disk controller)! Can somebody help me to fix this pb please? Thank you Eric
Mtt
Fix the pb. In addition to create DR CD without IAA, the BackupSet used to create DR CD should also be done without IAA installed. This was not the case. I did Backupset without IAA installed, create the DR CD and boot it without this hang. I suggest you add a comment in your above article ID 27737, to mention that the BackupSet should also be done without IAA installed to create DR CD. Eric.
