Mario Gardenghi
I have to backup a volume with A LOT of folders, about 70,000 or more, but every time I try to back up Retrospect Workgroup crashes during count at the 32,768th folder..... 16 bit counter!?!?!?!? I'm using PowerMac G4 biprocessor with MacOS X 10.1.4 Server and LaCie FW AIT1 tape drive. Other backup jobs run perfectly. Bye

Mario Gardenghi
I'm using the latest version 5.0.238, the drive update is 3.5, I didn't tried with 3.6.06 jet....
Mayoff
What do you mean by crash? Do you get a specific error? Do the crash logs say anything specific? I would suggest running disk utility on the drive you are accessing to see if it has any data corruption or disk problems.
Mario Gardenghi
No, I don't receive any kind of message, and no, I didn't looked at the crash logs. However if I backup these folders by blocks of about 30000 elements (a long and painful work!!) everything works perfectly! so it's not a disk related problem. bye!
