rroales
Ever since I upgraded to V6.5.319, retrospect hangs and continuously accesses the backup USB2 HD. It does this when it tries to access the backup script either at the start of a scheduled BAK or on shutdown when it tries to validate the next script. Using ctrl/alt/delete and terminating the retrospect process does not work. You have to reboot the machine. I have tried to repair retrospect -- no luck. I have deleted backup scripts that failed and entered new ones -- same result. If you validate a script it appears normal but the next backup (or whenever --- not consistent) it will hang again. If you reboot & validate the script that just crashed everything appears ok. This appears to be a random pnenomenon. Any ideas?

Cbarnhorst
If you are using WinXP's System Restore, disable it. My USB 2.0 external hard drive does the same thing under .319 unless Restore is turned off.
