fcatalano
Here's an odd one: I just created a Disaster Recovery ISO image, using Retrospect 6.0 and my new Windows XP system. However, the image is 888MB, which my CD burning software (Roxio Easy CD Creator) tells me is too large to burn. What the heck do I do? Thanks. fcatalano
Never mind: Instead of using the I386 folder (for the Windows XP install files) on my hard disk, I used the one on the Dell recovery CD. Shrank the ISO image from 888MB to 526MB and thus could fit on a CD. I discovered this was possible after doing additional searches on these Fora. However, as my Dell system is only a month old, I'm amazed the Windows system files have grown so large as to make burning the recovery CD on a single CD impossible. I suspect it's due to the patches Microsoft has issued for XP. I'd suggest Retrospect may want to address this in future Read Me and Help files.
