mick2up
I have written into my backup scritp to NOT to copy the file named BaseDrive.vhd (part of virtual PC by Connectix) and not to backup cache files yet it ignores these all too important exclusions. Anytime I use Vritural PC it changes the state of the 6.5gb file and eats up my tapes needlessly. Cache files are something I just don't care about. In addition I have tried to exlcude all items in the Virtual PC folder which contains the BaseDrive.vhd file and that fails. My exclusion filters simply aren't working. I am using Retrospect 5.0.238 on Mac OS 10.2.6 and the latest client software on my network. All else works fine. Please help.
nturrill
I would guess that your filter is not working because the BaseDrive.vhd file is inside a package that makes ever thing inside it inaccessible. If you would instead filter on the package name as a folder name, you will likely have success.
