ColinW
I've searched support and the knowledge base, however I haven't found any information on the following error: TPCFile SetShortName: USetFileShortName failed, \\HOMER\e-Cabinet\b-Cabinet\1-Sales\03-Reports & Registers\2-Archived Reports, winerr 1314, error -1001 MapError: unknown Windows error 1,314 This error happens during a duplicate when files are not being used in the Trial Version of Retrospect 6.5 on Windows XP. This is an interesting error because in the summary screen it shows no errors, yet in the log I have about 100 similar error messages. Does anyone know if these are being transfered and/or the resolution to this problem? Thank you!
Mayoff
Does this error show a red arrow in the left margin? Sometimes Retrospect will display extra "debug logging" that we try to hide from the user. This "debug logging" can usually be ignored by the user. If you don't see a red arrow next to the message, then it is probably not a "real" error. Does Retrospect report, "execution completed successfully" with Zero files remaining? ColinW
Thanks for your reply: Does this error show a red arrow in the left margin? No arrows Does Retrospect report, "execution completed successfully" with Zero files remaining? Yes. So I guess I can assume this went through despite those errors? Mayoff
Based on that info, I believe you are probably safe. Make sure you have verification turned on, if you don't.
