george
After setting up and getting bakups started or logging in while backups are running I get a message "do you want ot quit Retropsect?" when I log out. If I select no then I can't logout. If I select Yes then my backups stop. I don't want to stay logged in while backups are running and I don't want to lock the server because other users (Administrators) need to access the server. How can I logout and keep the currently running backups from stopping?
Mayoff
Logging out requires the closing of all running applications. If you are logged out, Retrospect can autolaunch a script and perform the backup in the background. Consider scheduling Retrospect to start 5 minutes after logout. A password protected screensaver also works well with Retrospect running
ard
Quote: Logging out requires the closing of all running applications.... Well, not quite so, as there are applications that keep running in the background. Wouldn't it be a good idea that Retrospect actually would 'know' whether it had been started during user login, or while the 'login' application was being displayed? In that case, Retrospect could keep running at all times and only media needed to be changed when due.
