ronldantz
My CDR/DVD ROM is the Toshiba that comes standard in the single 867 Quicksilver and I am running Retrospect 5.0.238. I can NOT backup from my network to the CDR drive (it starts then fails after the first block is written). Local backup works fine. Attempting to re-use a failed disc results in a 112 error (can not erase/format media). I am guessing that this is a data underflow issue. Does Retrospect need to buffer network data or build a disk image so that it can write the disk at full speed?
AmyJ
While in Retrospect, go to Configure > Devices > Device Status and list Vendor, Product and Version for your drive.
ronldantz
This is now fixed. It turns out my CDR was failing intermittently. Replacing the drive fixed the problem. Meanwhile, there is still the BUG is having to Force quit Retrospect if another program has my CDR in use when Retro is launched. Ron
