StuFarnham
I'm at my wits' end with using Retrospect Pro (was 6.0, now 6.5) to back up clients. We have a wireless home network with 3 PCs running XP SP1. Our internet connection is via satellite (DirecWay) which connects directly to one PC; that internet connection is shared across the internal network. IP address of the host is fixed; the clients get their addresses by DHCP. We're using XP's built in firewall on teh external connection, but not internally. Retrospect is installed on the system that hosts the satellite connection; the client is installed on the other two PCs. I start Retrospect, go to Configure->Clients. The cliend DB is empty. Click Add, get a popup which says it is searching for clients. I can click test and find both clients by IP address or by name, but they are never found by retrostpect. I've grovelled through all of the documentation I can find to no avail. Does anyone have any troubleshooting hints? Thanks, Stu

StuFarnham
As far as I can tell, I don't have that level of control over my wireless cards (Dlink DWL650) or WAP (Dlink DWL-900AP). Thanks anyway. Stu
