abbott
I just bought an EZQuest DVD-RW, based on the hardware compatibility list on this site, to use for backups with Retrospect 5.0.238 on a Mac G3 running OS 9.2.2. The EZQuest info from the Device Status window is: Pioneer, DVD-RW, DVR-105, version 1.30, Driver .AppleCD I keep getting the "Sorry, no disc storage devices found." error message. I can't figure out what I need to do. I've searched this site for solutions, but am still confused as to what the actual problem is that I need to solve. Thanks for any help or advice. AmyJ
From the hardware page for this drive: Minimum Retrospect Driver Update 3.3.104 http://www.dantz.com/en/support/updates.dtml 1) The following files are required for operation on OS 9.2.x or higher: -Toast 5.1 (or higher) software -Retrospect SDAP Support (extension) 2) In the event of a power failure or computer crash during a backup, Retrospect may be able to restore the data previously written to that disc, but the user should never try to append to this disc. 3) Only DVD-R and DVD-RW media is supported with this drive and Retrospect. CD-R and CD-RW media is not supported for use with Retrospect.
