Paul2
I'm trying to create a backup set on a network drive (a web folder, actually - IBackup, using IBDrive 6.1). I have no trouble reading and writing to this drive with Windows Explorer or with other applications. But when I try to create a file backup set (file type) on this drive, I get "Couldn't create Backup Set <set name>, error -643 (not a chunk file or badly damaged)" I read up on this type of error on your site, but nothing seems to apply to CREATING a backup set. Why would the file get corrupted while trying to create it? Why is Retrospect unable to create a file on this drive when all other applications seem to have no problem? I bought Retrospect 6.0 for Windows because of long good experience with 3.0 for Mac. But I seem to be having a lot of problems with this version. And it's awfully slow. Yeah, NTFS is a lot more complex than HFS+, but still...
AmyJ
We have not done any testing with the IBDrive. What happens if you create the file backup set locally and then move it to the drive? Are you then able to use it?
