crombie
I am having a problem with Retrospect Single Server edition. I have a number of shared folders that I backup nightly. When the script was initially made, Retrospect would notify everyone to get off the shared folder, and if everyone didn't get off, it would kick them off ("Lock out file server volumes" option when managing scripts). This has stopped happening, and in each log I get: "MapError: unknown Windows error 2,273 TSessInfo::MessageBufferSend: UNetMessageBufferSend failed, winerr 2273, error -1001" Any ideas? I really need the lock out file server volumes option to work. This seems real broken to me. Thanks!
pkolbus
Sounds like the message send failed A network error 2273 means that the message alias (recipient) that the message was to be sent to did not exist. The Platform SDK isn't much more helpful than that. My best guess would be that a file-share session got a little confused, and the best solution would be to terminate the session (the idle time might be a clue) manually with Computer Management (NT/2k/XP) or Net Watcher (9x). If that doesn't work, a file server reboot might be in order. HTH. Peter
