quasifusa
I installed a 200 gb Maxtor 5000 DV firewire external HD, with Retrospect Express, and since then, haven't been able to use another external HD I own, a 10 gb Fujitsu Handy Drive USB. Is there some compatibility issue I should have taken care about? My OS is Mac OS 9.1. Thank you Quasifusa
AmyJ
All hard drives are compatible, as long as they are compatible with the OS. If the drive is mounted locally on the desktop, Retrospect can back up to it. What problems are you experiencing? The following tutorial outlines the proper steps for backing up to a hard drive: http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=kbase&ACTION=KBASE&id=27501
quasifusa
The problem I'm experiencing is that when I plug my old Fujitsu drive the computer freezes until I unplug it. Besides, the icon of the Fujitsu drive doesn't show on the desktop.
